The Amazon grammar is a structuralistic parser for the Dutch language. Within structuralistic grammar, the Middle Field is defined as the sentence part between the finite verb in main clauses and the verbal end cluster. The last part of the Middle Field has recently been subject of linguistic research. It seems to be strongly related to the verbal cluster.
I will give a brief survey of the Amazon grammar, and elaborate on a further formalization of the final part of the Middle Field. I will show that this formalization solves some ambiguity problems in the description of transparent nonfinite clauses.
