A probabilistic grammar of Spanish

The exhaustive analysis of text corpora leads to a morpho-syntactic description of Spanish in probabilistic terms. Variation is taken into account as an integral part of linguistic functioning in the formulation of the selection mechanisms as they emerge from the observed distributions, relative frequencies and statistical correlations.
