The purpose of this project is to design and develop a multi-lingual interactive, computer-based environment for language teaching to young children (typically in the age range of 6 to 8 years). This multi-lingual platform will initially be developed for three languages Dutch, English and Greek but could be easily extended with the addition of other languages. Each of these languages will be taught both as mother tongue and as second mother tongue. This multi-linguality will provide for the project's pan-European appeal. The potential impact of the project is in providing a 'natural' learning environment for the development of languages for young users.
