The Sixth International Conference on Theoretical and Methodological Issues in Machine Translation (TMI95) took place on July 5 to 7 1995 at the University of Leuven, Belgium. It preceded the Fifth edition of the MT Summit, hosted by the EC in Luxembourg from July 10 to 14.

TMI95 focussed on three major topics:

  1. computational semantics for MT,
  2. MT of spoken language,
  3. and the use of sublanguage/controlled language for MT.
